A Project located in the heart of Limassol’s old coastal avenue, almost 1km from the sea front.  It is a mixed-use development comprising of shops. Offices and apartments on a plot area of 1846m2.  The front (southern) section of the Project that overlooks Franklin Roosevelt Avenue is a commercial building consisting of shops on the ground and mezzanine floors plus another five floors of offices and a building services floor in between.  The northern section of the plot includes the Residential development which consists of a four-storey apartment building with one and two bedroom apartments.  This residential building has a total area of 1404m2.  The core conceptual idea behind the Project was to create transparent floors with planters on all verandas – some of which are accessible and some not – therefore offering communal gathering areas on every level and creating the feeling of a larger ‘green area’ on each floor. Both buildings are encased with an external ‘skin’ (enclosure) with horizontal elements that provide privacy to the interiors but also prevent direct sunlight and glare.  All the design elements of the Project enrich the qualities of privacy and the microclimate that the buildings have to offer.
